I think part of the reason I like this Smoking Popes song (which I was reminded of because it plays during the credits of Clueless, the Beverly Hills remake of Jane Austen's Emma, which I watched Thursday night), is that the song sounds like a punk song as performed by Morrissey, singing lead for Joy Division who, inexplicably, were performing recently discovered songs Sinatra wrote but never performed.If that makes any sense at all.
